Atelier 12

Jean Guennal presents classic paintings, watercolors, gouaches and oil paintings; representing the lake, Evian and the surrounding villages. Carol Maucci-Guennal presents surrealist-inspired collages and travel diaries.

Originally from the Gulf of Morbihan, but attached to Evian since the 1970s, Jean captures the beauty of the landscape in a play of chiaroscuro. His works reveal Evian from a variety of viewpoints, including details, panoramic views and lighting effects. Often, the reflection of the mountains in the calm waters of the lake can be seen with touches of color, oscillating between realism and enchantment.

Evian-born Carol has sharpened her scissors to create surreal collages and postcards from her travels on Lake Geneva and beyond.

Atelier 12 remains a convivial place for meeting and sharing.
